Public Transport
The major hubs for passenger transport in Lund are the railway station and
Botulfsplatsen, the city bus station. Lund has a very extensive network of city buses,
which are easily identified by their green colour. Regional public transport is provided
by Skånetrafiken which operates both buses and trains. Skånetrafiken's buses are yellow
and the Pågatågen - Skånetrafiken's commuter trains - are purple. The direct trains to Denmark “Öresundståg” are grey. Detailed travel information and timetables are found
on (http://www.skanetrafiken.skane.se/) and then select internet pages in English.
Tickets for trains can be bought from machines at the stations or at the ticket office.
Tickets for bus journeys can be bought on the bus. Note that the public transport is
integrated in the Öresund region which means that on the city bus in Lund you can buy a
ticket all the way to Copenhagen. For Malmö-Sturup Airport there is an airport bus
(“Flygbussarna”, http://www.flygbussarna.se/en) to/from Lund railway station.
Trains for Copenhagen airport
Direct trains to Copenhagen airport (via Malmö) leave Lund every 20 minutes weekdays
from 06.17-23.57, less often other times (http://www.skanetrafiken.skane.se/ gives you
the exact time table). The train journey takes about 45 minutes. Direct trains to
Copenhagen airport from Malmö leave at 20, minutes between 05.00-01.00 and every
hour between 00.00 and 05.00. There is frequent train service between Lund and Malmö.
Please note there is a special Timetable 17 June 2007 – 1 July 2007.
Taxi
The taxi market is completely deregulated in Sweden so please check the price before
you enter the taxi. A trip within Lund city limit should cost a maximum of about 100
SEK. Lund University has an agreement with the two major taxi companies Taxi Skåne
(046-330330) and Taxikurir (046-700 000) that means that you get a small discount on
the fare if you say you are travelling as a guest of Lund University.

morning at 08.15.
